Determining Care for An Optimal Treatment Experience

During the streamlined process of admissions, each patient’s treatment needs and motivation for change are assessed in order to best determine the type of care that he or she will need to have an optimal treatment experience. While meeting with Huntington Creek Recovery Center’s staff, it will be decided if Huntington Creek Recovery Center’s treatment is an appropriate fit and if the individual will benefit from partaking in detox or starting with residential care. These levels of care are those offered at this exemplary center, which includes the following transformative facets of treatment:

Non-Hospital Detox

Medication management is a pivotal part of the detoxification process at Huntington Creek Recovery Center. For many patients, certain medications are prescribed so as to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with the process of withdrawal. Devoted medical personnel supervise this treatment method and monitor the progress patients make while on the medication(s) given. Also, adjustments to medication can be made if the patient’s needs require it during this phase of care.

Treatment for pre-existing medical conditions is available within Huntington Creek Recovery Center’s detox services so that patients’ medical needs can be fully met. While this center does not offer specific care for individuals with complex medical conditions, the staff is committed to helping men and women in any capacity that they can.

Engaging in the beginning stages of the therapeutic process is an option for men and women who begin their treatment receiving detox services. Once patients are feeling well enough to do so, they are invited to participate in the therapeutic interventions offered through the residential program.

Residential Treatment

Medication management is also available within Huntington Creek Recovery Center’s residential programming so that patients can continue their medication regimens after completing detox or if they are needing this method of care despite not requiring detoxification services at this center. Medication management is supervised by the same staff within Huntington Creek Recovery Center’s non-hospital detox, and the safety and effectiveness of any medication(s) given remain a top priority within the residential level of care.

Individual therapy, which is conducted by patients’ primary counselors, enables men and women in residential treatment to receive the one-on-one attention they need to overcome the issues and concerns that they are facing. During these sessions, patients are also able to freely discuss sensitive subjects that they may not feel comfortable sharing in a group setting.

Group therapy helps patients at Huntington Creek Recovery Center to develop a connection with one another via the support and encouragement that is provided in a therapeutic group setting. The topics covered within groups span a variety of subjects and can be catered to meet the needs of the members in attendance.

Experiential therapy is one of the methods of care that has made Huntington Creek Recovery Center the leading provider of addiction treatment that it is today. From a ropes course that fosters team-building to a biofeedback bed, this center offers numerous experiential therapy opportunities within its residential program. By partaking in this method of care, men and women can begin to heal and recover on a profoundly deeper level.

Depending on the needs of the patient, the above interventions may or may not be included into an individual’s treatment plan while at Huntington Creek Recovery Center. Additionally, those who elect to receive care at this center benefit from time-tested treatment modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, the disease concept model, existential therapy, family systems therapy, gestalt therapy, and strength-based therapy, which are proven to aid individuals in their pursuit of healthier, sober lives.
