Drug & Alcohol Addiction Rehab Programs

Huntington Creek Recovery Center has been a trusted provider of experiential-based therapies for addiction and co-occurring disorders since 1972. Our programs provide a transformative experience for men and women who are struggling with co-occurring and substance use disorders.

Our Continuum of Care

Located on 40 acres of lush land in the mountains of Pennsylvania, Huntington Creek Recovery Center is the Northeast’s premier addiction rehab center for healing. The remote, tranquil setting provides a peaceful backdrop to escape the confines of addiction, and work towards greater inner peace. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable environment for the men and women of the Northeast to work towards overcoming the challenge of substance abuse through self-exploration, relaxation, and exercise in a natural setting.

At Huntington Creek Recovery Center in Pennsylvania, we offer residential treatment for substance abuse with a threefold approach that centers on the whole person. With a focus on the mind, body and spirit, we address each patient’s unique history and challenges, and work together to create an individualized treatment plan. We serve both male and female patients aged 18 and older whose primary diagnosis is a substance use disorder or disorders. While we do not specifically treat mental illness as a primary diagnosis, we are equipped to support patients suffering from certain co-occurring disorders.

  • Alcohol
  • Opioids (including heroin, Suboxone, and other prescription painkillers)
  • Cocaine
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Methamphetamine
  • Prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs

Accessing the Best Plan for Your Needs

During the admissions process, we will assess the appropriate next steps for patients entering our rehab center. For individuals experiencing an active withdrawal, we offer a non-hospital detox program which includes medication management and a monitoring of any existing medical conditions. Our experienced detox staff includes a medical director, physician’s assistant, registered nurse, and licensed practical nurses who are dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable detox experience. While on our detox unit, patients also have access to our clinical treatment program. Patients who are receiving detox services will initially be encouraged to rest and stay hydrated while they work to regain their physical strength. Gradually, patients will be encouraged to attend group meals and lectures as their withdrawal symptoms begin to dissipate.

During their time at Huntington Creek Recovery Center, patients will have full access to a clinical program designed to help them overcome addiction(s) and meet their recovery goals. Additionally, it is common for individuals struggling with substance abuse to also experience other mental health conditions at the same time. While we cannot accept patients with a primary mental health diagnosis, we are equipped to treat a variety of co-occurring mental health disorders if a patient is stabilized and has proven not to pose an imminent risk to him or herself or others. New patients undergo a thorough psychosocial evaluation as part of the admissions process, including a structured mental health assessment to determine the presence of any co-occurring disorders. Our addiction rehab center is experienced in treating a variety of co-occurring mental health conditions, including the following:

  • Depression
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Anxiety Disorders

This memory foam biofeedback bed is designed to create a calming sensation in the mind and body through a series of guided images and relaxing sensations. We also have a staff member trained to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which can provide sustained relief from the emotional and physiological effects of past trauma.

For continued healing and recovery once patients return home, we begin discharge and aftercare planning during the first week of treatment. We will identify the barriers to sobriety in the patients’ environment, and cultivate their innate strengths to help them overcome any obstacles that may arise. We also seek to collaborate with patients’ families whenever possible, and offer educational lectures for families whenever they visit.
